Promises of God Christian Cathedral (“the Church,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to honoring the generosity of our donors through responsible stewardship, transparency, and accountability. This Donation Policy outlines how donations are accepted, used, and managed by the Church.

 

Our Mission

 

The mission of Promises of God Christian Cathedral is to advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ through worship, discipleship, evangelism, community outreach, education, benevolence, and ministry programs that serve individuals and families within our community and beyond.

 

All contributions received support the fulfillment of this mission.

 

Acceptance of Donations

 

Promises of God Christian Cathedral gratefully accepts charitable contributions from individuals, businesses, foundations, and organizations.

 

Donations may be made through:

 

  • Online giving platforms

  • Church website donations

  • Cash contributions

  • Checks and money orders

  • Electronic fund transfers

  • Special fundraising campaigns

  • In-person worship services and events

  • Planned or legacy gifts

 

The Church reserves the right to decline any donation that is inconsistent with its mission, values, legal obligations, or organizational policies.

 

Use of Donations

 

Unless specifically designated by the donor and accepted by the Church, all donations are considered unrestricted gifts and may be used where they are needed most to support the Church’s mission and operations.

 

Examples of ministry uses may include:

  • Benevolence assistance

  • Youth and family ministries

  • Discipleship and educational programs

  • Church facilities and maintenance

  • Mission initiatives

  • Kingdom expansion projects

 

Designated Gifts

 

Donors may designate contributions toward specific ministry funds, programs, projects, or campaigns.

 

While the Church will make every reasonable effort to honor donor designations, all designated gifts remain under the control and discretion of Promises of God Christian Cathedral to ensure compliance with legal, fiduciary, and ministry obligations.

 

If a designated project is completed, discontinued, oversubscribed, or no longer feasible, the Church reserves the right to redirect remaining funds to a similar ministry purpose consistent with the original intent of the gift.

 

Donation Receipts

 

Receipts may be provided electronically or in writing and will include:

 

  • Name of the Church

  • Date of contribution

  • Amount of contribution (when applicable)

  • Statement that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the contribution, unless otherwise noted

 

Refund Policy

 

Donations are generally considered voluntary charitable gifts and are non-refundable.

 

Requests for refunds due to clerical errors, duplicate transactions, unauthorized charges, or processing mistakes will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

 

Refund requests must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the donation date.

Donor Privacy

 

Promises of God Christian Cathedral respects and protects donor privacy.

 

The Church does not sell, rent, trade, or share donor information with third parties for marketing purposes.

  • Issuing receipts and tax documentation

  • Communicating ministry updates and stewardship information

 

Information may only be shared with trusted service providers that facilitate donation processing, record keeping, or communication services on behalf of the Church.

 

Stewardship and Accountability

 

The Church is committed to exercising faithful stewardship over all financial resources entrusted to it.

 

Financial oversight is provided by church leadership and designated financial officers in accordance with the Church’s governing documents and applicable laws.

 

Funds received will be managed responsibly and used to support the mission and ministry purposes of the Church.
